Robby Celestin is a powerhouse performer and MC with over two decades of experience in the music industry.
He is known for his dynamic energy and onstage charisma. After years of leading bands like TimePeace and the Final Say Band (a group under the Maggie Speaks umbrella) Robby stepped out to blaze his own trail, leading one of the best Chicago live bands - the RCP, also known as the Robby Celestin Project. The RCP delivers electrifying performances as a versatile ensemble that can scale up to 10 pieces, featuring a full horn section and three talented vocalists. What sets Robby apart is his unparalleled attention to detail and hands-on approach. From the planning process to the final bow, he ensures every event is unforgettable. His high-energy stage presence, thrilling acrobatic dance moves, and ability to connect with any audience have made him a sought-after entertainer. Robby’s celebrated work as an MC is rooted in his diverse talents, including his time on The Loop FM Chicago radio (The Danny Bonaduce Show) and as a TED Talk speaker, where he honed his skills while captivating and inspiring audiences. Born in East Chicago, IN, this Chicago singer has performed at the White House, throughout the Caribbean, Rome, China, Tahiti and for NATO troops on USO tours around the world. Over his globe-trotting career, Robby has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Barenaked Ladies, Maroon 5, Dion, The Gatlin Brothers, Andy Williams, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Malo, Survivor, ELO, Tierra, and Chicago Doo Wop Icon Gene Chandler. Besides singing covers, Robby has a solid reputation as a celebrated songwriter. His lyrics are smart and moving and his songs are truly memorable. He speaks of life, love, and everything in between. Robby was selected multiple times by Midwest Beat Magazine’s readers as favorite male vocalist and his Voiceprints CD was chosen by NWI.com as the number one Chicagoland Independent CD.
Voiceprints has continued to bring forth critical and public acclaim around the globe. It was one of CD Baby's top 10 sellers and was selected to their top 5 editor's picks. Robby has continued to write and release music that can be found on all platforms.
Music runs in his family. Robby's father, Robert "Cuate" Celestin, was a member of the Atlantic soul group the Enchanters and performed with many Motown acts including The Jackson 5.
In 2014 Robby launched his popular entertainment podcast A Chatter of Fact. The podcast has grown in popularity and continues to showcase many wonderful and interesting stories surrounding the entertainment business.
The podcast as well as the TEDx TALK opened the door for many inspirational and educational speaking engagements. Robby has continued to help educate up and coming musicians in order to help them on their career path.
Robby can also be seen occasionally performing with a small duo or trio. These groups are the ultimate playground for Robby's impromptu style of performing. Crowds are treated to an engaging, humorous show featuring popular cover songs as well as a few originals.
